Top 10 Ugliest Buildings
Today I stumbled across Virtual Tourist’s list of The World’s Top 10 Ugliest Buildings. It made me laugh, but I’m not sure I agree with their definition of ugly. I think most of the building they’ve shown are unique, over-the top designs that may or may not have met the intent of the designer, owner, or occupants.
My personal top ten list would definitely include about 80% of the buildings in Tyson’s Corner, VA (affectionately referred to as “the land of the ugly buildings” in my home). A favorite is the “toilet bowl building.”
Any nominations?

yeah. the FBI building in DC. this photo does it FAAAAAAR too much justice: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/96158/2/istockphoto_96158_fbi_building_in_washington_dc.jpg
Amen…that building is also heinous in terms of urban planning and cutting off the grid! L’Enfant plan tragedy
I actually like the Scottish Parliament building(s) though. Interesting.
