HOK London assist in historic move for Guardian News & Media
Over the last three years, HOK London Advance Strategies have been helping Guardian News & Media to prepare to move 1,500 staff from six buildings in Farringdon into their new 140,000 sqft King’s Cross HQ – Kings Place. The first newspaper published from GNM’s new HQ was on Monday 15 December – click here to see it.
We helped GNM to devise a workplace strategy designed to provide an alternative working environment. The idea was to create spaces that would encourage flexible and collaborative working, an ambition often hampered in the past by having colleagues spread across six different buildings.
We supported the GNM team with this programme and helped identify priorities, undertook employee online questionnaires, focus groups, programming and TUS. We also handled the employee profiling to inform the adjacencies, block and stack and sharing ratios for Kings Place.
We worked with the GNM team to draw up a vision document with proposals for an innovative and flexible working environment that will help the business to perform effectively in the digital age.
This is the Kings Place website.
