The Wednesday Song and Dance
It’s a pretty typical Wednesday around the St Louis Office today – people are running in and out of meetings, travel arrangements are being made, deadlines are being met. Okay, it’s a little unusual I guess, we’re going through a rather large-scale desk rearrangement – everyone is getting a new home in a different part of the office!
As I was walking through the back hallway, I came upon our very own Rachel Peine and Donald Tate, the guy who handles all of the very important miscellany around our office and helps things run smoothly.
Apparently Donald had moved one too many heavy boxes of architects’ stuff, because I was privy to a quick little moment in which Rachel broke out into Dick VanDyke-style song and dance – singing that wonderful tune from Bye Bye Birdie, “Put On a Happy Face.” It was just such a touching moment of comraderie and I just wanted to pass that onto all of our Life at HOK readers – “Gray Skies are Gonna Clear Up. Put on a Happy Face!”
