Elsye Alam

Elsye Alam is a designer in HOK's Los Angeles office. She began school and fell in love with spicy fried chicken in her home city of Borneo, Indonesia, but has been living and working in the States since 2002. She earned her graduate degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in Los Angeles.

She had done her loop around HOK, from Los Angeles to New York to San Francisco and now back to Los Angeles.

Elsye currently lives in downtown Los Angeles, where in her free time she pursues interests in graphic and interior design. The last book she read was, "How to Be a Graphic Designer, Without Losing Your Soul," and she is determined to find a way to store her bike as a piece of functional artwork.
