5 Questions With Jan De Weer

I’m pretty sure Jan (pronounced “Yonn”) De Weer could create an Excel spreadsheet that changes the oil in his car or cooks his wife an omelette. The guy could teach Microsoft some things about its software. But, most importantly, Jan excels at his job. He knows how to communicate clearly with the firm’s leaders about every aspect of HOK’s financial condition – and he spends his days doing exactly that. In his 11 years at HOK, Jan has earned the title vice president and senior financial analyst.

5 Questions – Derek Prior

So it’s been a while since I’ve done a 5 Questions (although you can see some here, here, here, and here) but trust me folks, this was worth the wait.

Derek Prior is an HOK force to be reckoned with.  He’s been around here for about 13 years, each year becoming more and more of an institution.  A graphic designer, social chairman, and general great guy, if you’re around Derek there’s never a dull moment.  He’s a breath of fresh air around this office most days. Enjoy!

5 Questions

That’s right! Jodi’s infamous 5 Questions series has jumped ship…and run away to St Louis.

We’re going to do things a little differently in St Louis and speak with people who have very different backgrounds, different professions, and different goals for their time at HOK.

We start our series off here in St Louis with Mike Jones, a Vice President in our Construction Services Group.  Mike’s official title is Chief Estimator, but his roles extend much beyond that – he brings a smile to the faces of all those around him, and the presence of Construction Services here in our office adds an enrichening level of realism to our projects.  (ahem, PLEASE check out the …

5 Questions for Cris Fromboluti

Cris Fromboluti not only has a really fun name, he’s one of the DC office’s premiere project managers and a fun guy to boot. I sat down with Cris for about an hour to run through our five questions. I knew Cris had a lot of great stories, but was not at all prepared for what was in store. You’ll notice there are only four questions, but I think Cris’s story comes through without the fifth.

5 Questions for Esther Simon

estherYou know you’ve been anxiously awaiting our second installment of 5 Questions for HOKers.  Today’s feature is Esther Simon, the one and only prickly pear of HOK.
