Commuting… Escalator Style

Ah, the joy of an escalator commute! No stop lights, no traffic, I don’t even have to wait in line to swipe my transit card. My commute to work in Hong Kong begins with walking a little less than a ¼ mile before hopping on the Central – Mid Levels Escalator.

The escalator is 2,600 ft (800m) long with a vertical climb of 440 ft (135m). HOK London starts work on Soho landmark

HOK London has just stated work on Soho Lodge, a charming Tudor-style, Grade II listed summerhouse located in the heart of Soho Square. The unique Lodge – there is no other in London – is suffering from wear and tear and old age and we are giving it a bit of a facelift!

The landmark dates back to 1875 and was originally built at the expense of the residents of Soho Square. HOKLondon is leading the renovation through its specialist conservation team.
